RAJASTHAN AYURVEDIC, UNANI, HOMOEOPATHY
AND NATUROPATHY SERVICE (AMENDMENT) RULES, 2013
PREAMBLE
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of
the Constitution of India, the Governor of Rajasthan hereby makes the following
rules further to amend the Rajasthan Ayurvedic, Unani, Homoeopathy and
Naturopathy Service Rules, 1973, namely:-
Rule - 1. Short title and commencement.
(1)
These rules may be called the Rajasthan Ayurvedic, Unani,
Homoeopathy and Naturopathy Service (Amendment) Rules, 2013.
(2)
They shall come into force with immediate effect.
Rule - 2. Amendment of Rule 2.
The existing
clause (d) of Rule 2 of Rajasthan Ayurvedic, Unani, Homoeopathy and Naturopathy
Service Rule, 1973, hereinafter referred to as the said rules, shall be
substituted by the following, namely:-
"(d)
"Director" means the Director of Ayurvedic Department, Rajasthan or
the Director of Unani Chikitsa Department, Rajasthan or the Director of
Homoeopathy Chikitsa Department, Rajasthan, as the case may be, and includes a
person appointed by the Government to officiate on the said post.".
Rule - 3. Amendment of Schedule.
In Schedule
appended to the said rules,-
(i)
in column number 2 against serial number 1 of
"GROUP-A", under the heading "GENERAL WING", for existing
expression "Director", the expression "Director Ayurved"
shall be substituted.
(ii)
in "GROUP-C" under the heading "GENERAL
WING"-
(a)
the existing serial number 1, 2 and 3 shall renumbered as
serial number 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
(b)
before serial number 2, so renumbered, the following new
serial number 1 and entries thereto shall be inserted, namely:-

before the existing serial number 2, so renumbered, the
following new serial number 1 and entries thereto shall be inserted, namely:-

Board/Faculty/Examining body or Indian medicine or its equivalent as
recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970; and (B) A
Postgraduate qualification in the subject/specially concerned included in the
Schedule to Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970; and (C) Total
teaching experience of 10 years in concerned subject is necessary out of
which there |
Associate
Professor |
Total teaching
experience of 10 years in concerned subject is necessary out of which there
should be 5 years teaching experience as Reader/Associate Professor in
concerned subject. Desirable-An eminent scholar with published work of high
quality actively engaged in research. |
Professor (Post
Graduate) has been redesignated as Professor. If suitable
candidates for promotion are not available, post shall be filled in by direct
recruitment through Rajasthan Public Service Commission. Maximum age limit
for direct recruitment shall be 55 years. |

Desirable-An eminent scholar with published work of high quality actively
engaged in research. |

(b) the
existing serial number 4 and entries thereto shall be substituted by the

recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970; and (B) A
Post-graduate qualification in the subject/specialty concerned included in
the Schedule to Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970; and (C) Teaching
experience of 5 years in concerned subject. (Reader will be treated as
Associate Professor). Desirable-Research including research degrees and has
made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality or
publications, contribution to educational renovation, design of new courses
and curricula. |

(1) Professor
(Under Graduate) Reader and Physician Specialist has been redesignated as
Associate Professor. If suitable candidates for promotion are not available,
post shall be filled in by direct recruitment through Rajasthan Public
Service Commission. Maximum age limit for" direct recruitment shall be
50 years. |
(c) the
existing serial number 4 and entries thereto shall be substituted by the
following, namely:-

(d) after
the existing serial number 4, so substituted, the following note shall be
added, namely:-

absence of the candidate of Post-graduate qualification in concern subject the
candidate of the following subjects as mentioned against them shall be eligible
for the post of Lecturer for five years from the date of commencement of the
Rajasthan Ayurvedic, Unani, Homoeopathy and Naturopathy Service (Amendment)

on the basis of these amendment rules."

Wing", the following new wing and entries thereto shall be added, namely:-
